An opportunity to learn how to build more legs for your marketing platform
Thanks to the success of the first event, Make It Happen Monday and its locally sourced panel of business experts will be returning to the region again on 12th November, at The Quadrant in Sheffield. Hosted from 9am until 12pm, the three hour session, although developed by the UK’s fastest networking group 4Networking, is NOT a networking meeting but an interactive event where attendees can solve business issues and pick up valuable advice from experts on topics that THEY choose.
The first event, launched last month, proved so effective that one business revisited and revised their business strategy as a result of the mentoring they received thanks to Make It Happen Monday’s unique format:
- Each delegate shares the biggest challenge facing their businesses
- Individuals then put themselves forward as experts in tackling those topics
- Attendees vote for the most popular experts to head tables of discussion to produce solutions
- Each expert summarises the conclusions back to the room Also featuring a business talk from Sarah Brown from inspire2aspire who is talking on “your marketing platform – how many legs do you need?
The process of sharing issues and working through them with other members not only helps to take everyone’s business forward but also, for people chosen as an expert, enables them to showcase their skills – something Nigel Short of VOOT Telecom discovered at Sheffield’s first Make It Happen Monday event.
Nigel explains: “It really encouraged me to take time out of my business to focus, think and, above all, set timescales for implementation of things I can change that will make a real positive impact on the effectiveness of my business.”
