How coaching keeps you motivated on the roller coaster of life
Fall seven times, stand up eight
Japanese Proverb
Life can be such a roller coaster particularly when you are an entrepreneur.
One week you have a brilliant meeting about a really exciting project and then the next day another project hit the buffers.
I can’t deny I can feel down but all the coaching I’ve had plus all the books I’ve read tell me that the difference between success and failure is the ability and determination to keep going, think about Edison “I NEVER FAILED EVEN ONCE, it just happened to be a 2,000-step process.” ~Thomas Edison (when asked how it felt to fail 2,000 times before successfully inventing the light bulb).
So now I’m back, excited and reengaged to make things work even better. What can I learn from the project that hit the buffers, doing the same thing would be as stupid as continuing to hit my head against a wall and not expecting pain.
To help I’ve got my knowledge of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) – get your physiology, smile, thoughts to positive and you’ll feel positive – imagine feeling upbeat with slumped shoulders and a frown, imagine feeling depresses with a huge grin and your shoulders back.
If you find you’re stuck feeling down you should be considering a coach.
