Who runs your business?

Time management and controlling the calls on your time is a critical skill for business owners

Who runs your world?

While running your own business is time-consuming, it should not be all-consuming.

Whilst you shouldn't expect to work from 9-5 Monday to Friday, with a generous hour for lunch - you shouldn't be available 24/7 either.

Being constantly available is a trap that many entrepreneurs fall into. More and more businesspeople are working from one mobile phone, one email address and one social media account. We are under the impression that good customer service means being approachable at all hours of the day.

It's time to get some control back in your life and not let others decide when you are working. Believe it or not, there *is* an 'off' button on your mobile phone. You *can* log off from your emails and you *are* allowed to have some time for yourself and your family.

A 'fun day' as we call them does not include answering emails or taking calls - you're not having the day off and you won't feel rejuvenated.

Plan a 'fun day' for yourself; organise everything beforehand so that you're not available and you can take some time for you. Educate your customers and suppliers that, maybe just sometimes, you need a bit of 'you' time and you won't be available.

Don't forget, your customers have days off too, they will relax after a hard day's work, they allow themselves time to recharge their batteries - it's about time that you did too.

After all, we work to live - we don't live to work. You can download details of our Business Owners Time System if you go to here and we can help you implement it
